Networking and Configuration

Home Lab / Hypervisor

🕹During this year i have created my own home lab🕹

Composed with :

  • 1 Raspberry PI 4 (OpenVPN Server) to access my "servers" at any time from anywhere with my .ovpn encrypted file
  • 1 old computer of mine as the HyperVisor (I am using ProxMox - Free , easy to use and of course Open Source)
  • A large hard drive of 2TB installed inside the HyperVisor (no need for more storage at the moment)

Then catch some ISO's of the most usefull OS for my usage :

  • Windows 10 Pro (Basic client computer)
  • Windows Server 2019 (might be usefull if i need to build an Active directory or something else
  • Kali (for all my training and it is actually a very good and clean tool box)
  • Debian 11 (to run services like Plex to store familly pictures or videos and of course to have an unlimited access to a basic Debian machine via SSH)

I can now create an unlimited amount of VM in a self-owned environment

Here is a screenshot from the plex
web dashboard running and showing the pictures that i uploaded by SFTP : )
